Engine & Transmission

The engine is the highly successful Jaguar XK unit and is available from 2.8 litres to 4.2 litres. The latter pushes out 210 bhp, which in a car that only weighs 17 cwt gives the car startling performance and will give it a top speed of 143 mph. The engines are new and fully bench tested before fitting. They come with standard twin SU carburettors, however can be modified and equipped with triple carburettors as an option. Full specification race engines are available on request.

The unit comes complete with external Bugatti-style oil cooler and fuel is fed to the engine by a high capacity electric fuel pump. Standard ignition is used, but electronic ignition is available.

The exhaust system utilises a stainless steel six-into-one manifold, which runs through to a 2.5 inch exhaust pipe. This lies externally down the near side of the car, with a heat shield by the passenger seat.
The car is fitted with a Getrag 5 speed manual competition gearbox giving it a high ratio in fifth gear for comfortable touring.
